The NSA and Edward Snowden
NSA (National Security Agency) The Spy Factory: NOVA
Examine the high-tech eavesdropping carried out by the National Security Agency and the pitfalls of surveillance in an age of terrorism. "In this program, an eye-opening documentary on the National Security Agency by best-selling author James Bamford and Emmy Award-winning producer Scott Willis, NOVA exposes the ultra-secret intelligence agency's role in the failure to stop the 9/11 attacks and the subsequent eavesdropping program that listens in without warrant on millions of American citizens" (NOVA Program Description).

Edward Snowden
"Edward Joseph "Ed" Snowden is an American computer specialist and a former CIA and NSA employee who has leaked details of several top-secret United States and British government mass surveillance programs to the press" (Wikipedia). Some people consider Snowden a traitor and defector for his actions; some people consider him a "whistle blower" and a hero. Consider both the threat of terrorism and what the NSA does to protect society and what we consider to be guaranteed American freedoms when developing your opinion, and remember that very rarely is the truth ever completely black and white.
