Leadership Log: Current Events Debate
In our Academic Leadership Academy, some of our essential questions throughout the year will be “What are the qualities of effective leaders?” “What qualities do I desire in a leader?” “What qualities do I have or do I want to develop in order to become an effective leader?” While these logs are your own personal opinions, they should reflect mature thought and writing and be based in textual evidence and specific experience. Each log entry should be concise at no more than two pages in length. FORMAT: Leadership logs should be typed, 12-point sans-serif font, double-spaced, and formatted in MLA. Remember that they should be at least 1/2 page but no longer than 2 pages.
Keeping the essential questions about leadership in mind, address the following:
After researching and participating in our current events debate, what is your takeaway? What have you learned? What became "real" to you during the debate process? What was difficult? Why? What have you learned about reading, writing, listening, speaking, and research?
